Established: 2006 The Story: So what's this site about? Well, my main purpose is to create clever/funny shirt designs and sell them to the world in order to help pay for student loans (you see, I'm a student filmmaker). I've always been a fan of funny and interesting t-shirt designs (I have quite a collection), but I never thought there were enough of them (stop laughing!). So in 2005 I set out making little CafePress stores using my different t-shirt designs. Then in 2006, I got some web space and a domain name, and lo and behold New York Threads was born. Why is it called "New York Threads" you ask? No, I'm not from New York, I'm from North Carolina. In fact, I've never actually been to New York. I just love the sound of it. That and the domain was available. Plus it gave me a chance to use this cool film noir style web design that I had sitting around unused.
